Our Story

“This place is amazing! The ice cream is seriously out of this world with a variety of flavours I have not seen elsewhere and I'm a big fan of trying new flavours (definitely not a vanilla kind of person!). I had the rhubarb ginger and I think brandied pear and they were both so refreshing and not overly sweet. Very nice texture too. My friend had toasted marshmallow and pumpkin pie, and those were also excellent. If I ever come back to Picton, I'm headed straight here!”

“It’s one of the best ice creams I’ve ever had! I got a waffle cone with two flavors: Passionfruit and Pralines and Cream. They were both absolutely perfect and creamy on their own, but also complimentary to one another! The passionfruit flavor is refreshing and a little tart but sweet, it tastes like the fruit, nothing artificial about it. The pralines and cream has a butter caramel swirl that is to die for, and very crunchy and sweet praline pecan brittle. The ice creams are not overly sweet, they are perfect, I’m so glad I stopped on my way back from Sandbanks. I wish I could’ve brought home a pint or two, but sadly it would last the 3 hour drive! It’ll be a obligatory visit every time I’m on the area now, kudos! The staff was also very friendly and ready to help. It’s a must-visit if you’re passing by Picton, for sure!”

“This place doesn't need a review - I've had gelato in Italy that doesn't even come close to some of Slickers' flavours. Easily the best ice cream I've had in Canada. Recently changed ownership - and I'm delighted to say that the new owners are not only honouring the old quality, but have already added new flavours which show they've been well-trained, and care to keep this a County must-visit. Try the passionfruit - it's up there with anything you would have in the tropics!”
